5 Pieces to wear in the Spring of 2016

1. Fringe Anything

The 70's style will rule in the coming season and that means we will be seeing a lot of Bohemian and a lot of fringe being worn off the runways. Be it Accessories or Outerwear, be prepared to buy a few pieces with chopped edges. Even Frayed denim is having a moment right now. Our favorite way to pull off this trend is by wearing a Fringe Cape which can be worn over a pair of jeans, a dress or a denim skirt with equal flair. You can belt the cape or wear it as-is and let it take center stage.

2. Decadent Lace

A lot of designers sent down models in their own rendition of lace and lingerie. Jewel Toned Lace will be a big trend in Spring 2016 so look for pieces in hues of emerald, onyx or rose quartz. Pair with bright outerwear and finish off the look with neutral accessories. Ladylike frills combined with scalloped lace make these pieces ultra glamorous.

3. Patchwork

Patchwork took off as a trend in the Summer of 2015 and will still be going strong in the coming season. Patchwork pieces are the perfect way to add a touch of eccentricity to a simple outfit. Spring will be a good time to wear these pieces since they are sewn in heavier fabrics and made with blocks of leather and suede put together. Pair a sweater with a Patchwork skirt (This one is from Zara) and riding boots - an outfit that is fit for the transition weather.

4. Turtleneck Sweater

This classic piece can elevate any outfit besides keeping you warm and cozy outside. It can be worn with a denim jacket and jeans, paired with a skirt or worn over/under a dress to add the classy quotient to any outfit. Look for a piece in a different silhouette or different cut. This trend can be taken from a day to night look  with ease. If you would like to combine two trends at once, try pairing a turtleneck sweater with boots in a patch work design (The ones featured here are by Steve Madden)
